The Nominees scored and ranked in the Evaluation Stage, form the basis of the Selection process which consists of a three stage process of Elimination, Shortlisting & Verification. With over 40,000 nominees year after year, for the Awards, the Evaluation process has been completely automated while the Selection process is more physical.
The Nominees with scores higher than 650 or the Top two thousand nominees (whichever is lower), starting from the highest ranked are put through a thorough elimination process which may include discussions, interviews, site visits, document verification and stress diligence. This process eliminates Nominees which may have inherent stress or may have indulged in misreporting.
The Jury goes through the full scoring sheet and all top ranked nominees, deliberating, discussing and shortlisting nominees for the final top 500, shortlisting it further to 200.
A thorough verification of the antecedents and of the top 500 nominees, is undertaken with finer checks, through information available with institutions like the ROC, IT, Financial Reporting Agencies & Risk Insurance Firms.
During this stage a shortlisted Nominee may be contacted for any queries, additional information or documents to be provided, but there is no requirement of a personal meeting and a shortlisted nominee can be disqualified from the entire process if the information given is wrong, incomplete or erroneous, with the next ranked& shortlisted nominee automatically getting the place of the disqualified Nominee.
